I'm not very articulate, but this has been on my mind for awhile, so I thought i'd write it down.

On Veteran's Day this year I watched a live broadcast on C-SPAN2 with five surviving members of WWII's Easy Company from the 101st Airborne, you know, the company that the series Band of Brothers was made about. During the broadcast they would show small clips from the series then ask the veterans to talk about their experience during that part of the war. The broadcast was extremely interesting and I enjoyed listening to their experiences immensely.

Since then i've been on sort of a WWII kick, i've watched a lot of WWII movies, played video games based on that era, read articles from newspapers and magazines, and looked up info on the web about it. I'm in awe of the sacrifice given by these men and women who fought an evil that we can only wonder about. I can't fathom what it would be like to live during the second World War, let alone serve in it, lose your friends to it, or even die for the cause.

Sometimes I don't think we appreciate enough what the service men and women have given for our country. So, do me a favor...no, do it for yourself, next time you meet a veteran or if you know one already, stop and say thanks. I'm sure they will appreciate it.

Alright, that's enough. Later.
